Teaching Background:
During the process of English reading and western culture learning, the students always have difficulties in understanding the metaphor or misunderstand the meaning of metaphor. In western culutre, the metaphor related to food is very coommon. In order to help the students to overcome the barrier of understanding metaphor, this mini-lecture focuses on the understanding of the metaphor of food.
Teaching aims:
1. Students can learn the characteristics of the metaphor, and know how to understand the metophoer of food.
2. Students can have a better understanding of the text and the western culture.
